Company offering repointing services using coloured lime and general masonry work in Rouen and Normandy.

Trade company specialising
in repointing and general
masonry work

RBPF (for Rénovation Bâtisseurs du Patrimoine Français) is a general masonry company specialising in the renovation of older buildings from the 17th and 18th century. However, RBPF also works on newer buildings due to high demand. Our main concern is protecting and promoting the beauty of French heritage by renovating facades, particularly by repointing brickwork and maintaining those which are often exposed to pollution. RBPF also offers facade treatment and protection for your home against mould, algae and lichens.

For over 10 years, the RBPF team has specialised in repointing brick, flint, rubble and occasionally stone. Our teams operate in Seine-Maritime (76) and Eure (27), more generally in Normandy, and can also travel as far as Amiens or Beauvais.

Damaged brick mortar can cause water infiltration, or even loose bricks. To ensure you have a secure wall and mortar which lasts in the long-term, Rénovation Bâtisseurs du Patrimoine Français offers a repointing service.

Vehicle circulation on roads and pavements, new buildings and weather conditions tend to cause land to move, resulting in structural changes to buildings. Rénovation Bâtisseurs du Patrimoine Français can refurbish these buildings.

Facades often fade when exposed to pollution, surrounding grease or various particles in the air. The Rénovation Bâtisseurs du Patrimoine Français team can clean and strip your facades using the gentle sodablasting technique.

For Laurent PHILIPPE, RBPF’s manager, protecting national heritage is more than just a business undertaking – it’s a real vocation, which led him to create “Normandie Briques Rénovation” in 2014. Backed by over 10 years of expertise in general masonry work, the company underwent technical and staff changes to become the association “BPF pour Bâtisseurs du Patrimoine Français”. As renovation became its core business, the decision was made in 2018 to change the association into a company with the name: “RBPF: Rénovation Bâtisseurs du Patrimoine Français”.

Despite the constraints (difficult to use depending on temperatures and surrounding moisture issues), from the outset Laurent PHILLIPE chose to work with lime for brickwork repointing. Lime is a completely hydrophobic natural material allowing a building to breathe from the inside to the outside, whilst also offering a perfect seal.
